Sharks boss Muluya wary of quality Leopards

Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has acknowledged that AFC Leopards have quality players in all departments led by second best top scorer Elvis Rupia as he called on his charges to be extra vigilant this Sunday.

Muluya will be guiding his third placed side to put breaks on Ingwe under head coach Antony Modo Kimani fresh from ending the unbeaten record of leaders KCB in the 2020-2021 FKF Premier League season.

“We respect them for having quality players and it’s not only Rupia but teamwork and a complete team is what is making him score goals.

However we are fully preparing well for them”, Muluya said.

The soft spoken coach has also declared that Sharks are not pushovers but like KCB, Leopards, Gor Mahia, Tusker and others, they are going for a top finish this season as the main target.

He has said that this season like the English Premier League is unpredictable and anyone who plays his cards well will carry the day come match day 34.

“We have been first runners up severally and even second runners up but now this season we have expectations of trying to finish top of league.

It’s a season that anyone can lift the title from KCB, Sharks, AFC (Leopards) or even Gor can win it”, Muluya elaborated adding, “It’s a league that no one can predict just like in England where Man United and Man City are closely contesting for the title and so it will depend on how you play your cards well”.

Sharks are position three with 15 points two behind leaders and a win could take them top depending with KCB and Tusker results while Leopards sit in fifth place on 12 points.

Sharks will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after a 4-2 hammering from second placed Tusker FC.
