Shikanda appointed new Bandari assistant coach

Bandari FC have roped in former Bungoma Superstars tactician Ibrahim Shikanda who will serve as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) club’s assistant coach.

Shikanda joined head coach Bernard Mwalala in the technical bench as Bandari edged National Super League (NSL) side Coast Stima and emphasised his role will mainly be in helping to tighten up the defence.

“I was a defender and am here to help Bandari’s back line towards the team goal,” Shikanda said.

He added that the preparation for the CAF CC are in top gear and he will work with the technical bench to deliver its plans.

“Since my arrival i see everything is on point so my collaboration with the bench will bring good thing.”

The former Kenyan international have also coached Nairobi Stima and Azam FC of Tanzania where he was also an assistant coach from 2008 to 2013.

He was earlier targeted by Sony Sugar FC who have lose its coach.

Bandari played its first local friendly outclassing Coast stima through Yema Mwana’s goal at their Mbaraki backyard.
