Shikanda targets win as Nzoia host Vihiga

Nzoia Sugar FC tactician Ibrahim Shikanda is confident his side will pocket all three points when they take on Vihiga United in today’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League fixture at Sudi stadium.

Nzoia held their own to force a 2-2 draw against out-of-form Mathare United before the break, to allow for the FKF Cup action and Shikanda is bullish his boys can bounce back to winning ways this afternoon when they host Vihiga United who lost 0-4 to Tusker before the break.

“We are going for the three points and nothing less; we shall score goals, my boys are in good spirits,” Shikanda told Citizen Digital.

Nzoia are yet to lose at their Sudi backyard, managing three wins and five draws so far in its last eight home matches.

Nzoia Sugar FC sit 14th on the FKF PL log with 17 points from 18 matches while Vihiga are 16th on the standings with 12 points.

Stat attack: Four of Nzoia`s last six matches have produced over 1.5 goals. They have, however, conceded seven goals in those six matches.

Players to watch: Gaitan Masha, the winger has scored in most of Nzoia home fixtures and contributed to most of the side’s goals.
