Shikhalo is here to stay; hes not headed to Yanga: Bandari

Bandari FC have refuted reports that custodian and Kenyan international Faruk Shikhalo has penned a deal with Tanzanian League giants Young Africans SC(Yanga).

“As an ambitious club, Bandari FC will and has keen interest to maintain all its key and pivotal players with no intention of letting them leave anytime soon.

Head coach Bernard Mwalala said: “Faruk Shikhalo is fully focused on the games at hand and has a contract with the club of which he is serving happily.”

Also joining the chorus in dismissing the reports was club CEO Edward Oduor. He stated that he has not received any information regarding the purchase and sale of Faruk, regardless of that he has no intention of letting key players leave the club with which has huge ambition, and has a huge focus on the future.

“Faruk is fully focused on the FKF Shield final today and AFCON and such news are fake and have no factual basis,” Oduor.

“Therefore, our club rules out any involvement of our player Faruk Shikhalo with any club or organisation and will seek legal action against anyone who spreads such fake and biased news.

The Dockers will be aiming at bagging the domestic cup to earn a ticket to the CAF Confederatiosn Cup next term after finishing second in the league.
