Shock as Bandari release star attacker Yema Mwana

FKF Premier League side Bandari FC have parted ways with their Congolese striker Yema Mwana as they restructure their squad ahead of the new season.

Through an official statement, the dockers said they agreed on mutual contest to part ways with the former Sony Sugar striker who joined them in 2017 scoring 42 goals in 72 matches.

”He had one more year to run on his contract but following positive and constructive recent discussions with him and the club, he will be leaving for a greener opportunities elsewhere,” read part of the statement.

Mwana did not play a big role in Bandari’s season due to injury with coach Andre Casa Mbungo preferring Umaru Kasumba and Johana Mwita in the upfront.

Dan Guya who joined the Mombasa based side the same year from Talanta FC has also been released in the new changes.

“After lengthy negotiations, we have decided to part ways with Daniel Omondi Guya on mutual consent.”

Bandari, who finished third last season are  in the process of releasing other players before recruiting new ones to prepare for  a possible title charge in the new season.

They have already been linked with Tusker FC trio of Chris Ochieng, Jaffary Odenyi and Rodgers Aloro but Bandari team manager Albert Ogari said they’ve not made any signings.

“We are yet to conclude on whom to rope in but we will announce them once confirmed.”

Bandari begun their pre-season preparations today with goalkeeper Justin Ndikumana, Abdallah Hassan and Siraj Mohammed the only absentees after national team duties excursions.
