Shujaa in Pool C with New Zealand for Commonwealth Games
Kenya national men’s rugby team has been pooled together with 2014 finalists New Zealand in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold coast, Australia.
Shujaa will also face Canada and Zambia who complete pool C, for the April 2018 games.
In Scotland 2014, Shujaa defeated Cook Islands 28-0 in their opening pool match before demolishing Trinidad & Tobago 35-5 in their second match but were outclassed in their third pool match by eventual champions South Africa 20-0.
They were defeated in the quarter finals by New Zealand 19-7 going down to the plate semi finals where Wales defeated them 28-5.
In the women’s category, Kenya Lionesses are in a tough pool A that has New Zealand, Canada and African champions South Africa.

Pool A — South Africa, Scotland, PNG, Malaysia
Pool B — England, Australia, Samoa, Jamaica
Pool C — New Zealand, Canada, Kenya, Zambia
Pool D — Fiji, Wales, Uganda, Sri Lanka
Women’s pools
Pool A — New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Kenya
Pool B — Australia, Fiji, England, Wales.
