The national rugby sevens team Shujaa lost their second Pool B match 17-21 to France to weaken their chances of qualify for the Main Cup quarter finals in the ongoing Dubai Sevens.

Coach Paul ‘Pau’ Murunga’s charges found themselves trailing 14-0 by halftime after France scored two converted tries.

Dennis Ombachi scored two quick tries with Johnstone Olindi adding a converted try to give Kenya a 17-14 lead.

But Jerome Daret’s charges got a chance in the dying minutes and scored a converted try to win 21-17.

The loss was Kenya’s second defeat after going down 14-35 to Scotland in their opener. Shujaa face Fiji in their last pool C match at 6.06 pm.
