Shujaa to face Mike Fridays USA in Hamilton Sevens

Former Shujaa tactician Mike Friday is set to meet his former paymasters when USA face Kenya in New Zealand for the Hamilton Sevens this weekend.

Shujaa are pooled against top seed USA, big boys Samoa, and the in-form Canada in Pool D of the Hamilton Sevens.

Kenya will be looking to add onto the 23 points already amassed, placing them at position seven of the HSBC Sevens Series.

Kenya collected 10 points after qualifying for the Cup quarters but went down to Africa’s finest South Africa and Fiji in the quarterfinals playoffs.

Head coach Innocent Simiyu knows the task that lies ahead and a semifinal spot at the Hamilton Sevens will be a morale booster for the boys after posting dismal performance in the just concluded three legs.
