Shujaa to kick off Vancouver 7s campaign against Spain on Saturday

In Summary

  •  Shujaa finished 12th with 35 points last year in the series and will want an improved show
  • In this year’s series,  no team will be relegated following the Coronavirus pandemic with Singapore and Cape Town series cancelled.

The Kenya Rugby Sevens team, Shujaa will kick off their first leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, Vancouver Sevens against Spain at 8:31pm this Saturday at the BC Place Stadium.

Innocent Simiyu charges will then play their second Pool A match against Mexico at 11.42 pm before completing their last pool match against South Africa at 3;35am on Sunday.

Shujaa, under head coach Innocent Simiyu, will be aiming for an improved performance after a horrific outing at the recent Tokyo Olympic Games.

They will however navigate through the assignment without the services of long serving skipper Andrew Amonde who recently announced his retirement from the national team.
