Speaking to Citizen Digital, Kenya Rugby Union chairman Richard Omwela downplayed the level of their injuries maintaining that a week is enough for the trio to recover since they only got a knock.

“It is the work of the technical bench to know who plays and who doesn’t but I expect the trio to play against England on Saturday morning, because to me a week is enough to recover from a knock having in mind that they still have four days ahead of their pool opener match.”

Kenya will play their pool ‘B’ opener match against England at 7.52 am (EAT) on Saturday, before playing their second pool match against France at 11.18 am, before concluding their pool match against Las Vegas champions USA at 2.44 pm.

The trio has been sensational this season especially in the last two rounds of the series where Kenya finished runners up in the Vancouver and Hong Kong Sevens.

Samuel Oliech is 10th on the log of players with most conversions after hitting 40.
