Soaring City Stars out to extend lead as NSL enters round ten

Ten matches are lined-up this afternoon as the National Super League enters round 10 across various venues.

Run away leaders Nairobi City Stars will be out to extend their impressive run when they come up against  14th placed Fortune Sacco in the 3.00 pm fixture.

The Hope Centre based side is still unblemished so far this season having won eight times and drawn once in their opening nine matches.

A win will stretch their lead to nine points should Bidco United and Migori Youth fail to overcome Shabana FC and Ushuru FC, respectively, in other fixtures.

Shabana will aim to build on their 3-2 triumph against Vihiga United in what seems to be a Herculean task against Bidco United, who have lost only twice this season, having won six and drawn only once in their opening nine matches.

Elsewhere, the stakes will be high at the Mumias Complex when bitter rivals Vihiga Bullets and Vihiga United lock horns with the latter looking to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat against Shabana in their previous outing.

Bullets will be inspired by their 2-2 draw against NSL giants Ushuru as they aim to go one better.

Northern Wanderers will continue their search for their first win when they welcome 12th placed Administration Police at Camp Toyoyo while Murang’a Seal take on fourth-placed Nairobi Stima in the other lunchtime fixture.
