Soderberg and Keguru win second Kenya open Pro-Am

The 2016 Kenya Open Golf Tournament winner Sebastian Soderberg and Kenya Golf Union Executive Peter Keguru are the winners of the second Pro-Am at the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open.

Soderberg and Keguru combined to return a score of 49 points, beating second-placed pair of Ben Eccles and Y. Omari who missed out on first place with a score of 47.

The Kenya Open Pro-Am attracted a field of 184 players including Pedro Figueredo and Mateusz Gradecki who qualified for the Kenya Open at Monday’s pre qualifier. The tournament also featured the likes of Kenyan top professional golfers Jacob Okello, David Indiza, CJ Wangai and Simon Ngige.

The top pros walked away with 400 euros, 300 euros and 60 euros for first, second and third place respectively.

The 2018 Kenya Open Tournaments officially tees off tomorrow Thursday 22nd March 2018 at the Muthaiga Golf Club. The pair of David Odhiambo and Frank Matilo will be the first Kenyan professionals to tee off at the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open at 7:30am. There will be a total of 22 Kenyan pros battling it out against international pros for a stake of the €500,000 (approximately Sh 62.5 Million).
