Sofapaka patient over transfers, says coach Odhiambo

Sofapaka FC head coach Ken Odhiambo has said the club will decide whether to reinforce the team depending on the outcome of the remaining matches before the transfer window closes.

According to Ken who doubles up as Harambee Stars assistant coach, the players already recruited are settling well.

“We will use our next match to measure the level of our squad and we will know if we need any signing,” he said.

The tactician also refuted claims that they have released eight players from their current squad.

“No, we have not released any player so far those are just rumours”.

After beating Nairobi City Stars in Wundanyi, Batoto Ba Mungu will tackle Vihiga United over the weekend in Mumias.

The former Bandari coach is eyeing all three points against Vihiga who defeated defending champions Gor Mahia in their previous match.

Lawrence Juma will still be missing in action serving his last match of suspension following a straight red card against Nzoia.

“We played and won our last match against City Stars without him meaning we don’t depend on one player in our team,” he concluded.

The international transfer was opened yesterday while the domestic one is set to resume on 1st February.
