The onslaught went on, with their coach Melis Medo vocal on the touchline, instructing his boys . The goals kept coming for the retailers when substitute Kelvin Thairu put the tie beyond Mathare’s reach, slotting in the third, minutes after coming on for Waithira.

The James Situma led defence could not contain Nakumatt’s attack, conceding a penalty on the 78th minute which was calmy slotted by John Avire.

After playing much of the half on the back foot, Kimanzi’s charges were awarded a penalty in the run of play for a handball but Clifford Alwanga saw his spot kick parried out for an unsuccessful corner to sum up a horrendous outing for Mathare
