Sports Kenya Director General Ondimu retired by court order

The High Court has ordered Sports Kenya to retire its Director-General Saima Ondimu with immediate effect saying the decision to appoint her was unlawful.

The court further directed the sports board to commence the process of recruiting another DG in accordance with the constitution.

Ondimu was appointed to the position in April 2017 replacing veteran sports administrator Gordon Oluoch, who was then transferred to the Kenya Academy of Sports as CEO.
