Sports world reacts to Trump US election win
Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States.
Trump beat former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in an election that began Tuesday morning and lasted into Wednesday.
Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta told a crowd at the Javits Center in New York late Tuesday night that Clinton would speak Wednesday morning because all the votes had not been counted.
A couple hours later, The Associated Press first reported victory for Trump. The president-elect told a raucous crowd around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, also in New York, that he had received a concession call from Clinton.
It was a historic election as the country selected a Washington outsider with no previous political or military experience for the first time.
The sports world took notice and used Twitter to react.
