Stalwart Onyango reaps bountiful rewards of impeccable 2019 season
Gor Mahia defensive stalwart Joash Onyango was voted the Most Valuable Player(MVP) of the 2018/2019 KPL season during the Sports Journalist Association of Kenya{SJAK} awards held in Nairobi yesterday night.
The tough tackling defender piped his former teammate Francis Kahata and Ulinzi stars forward Enosh Ochieng to win the MVP that comes with a cash prize money of Sh 1.25 Million.
Onyango was also voted the defender of the year with Sony Sugar’s Calvin Wasonga coming second in the same category.For his secodnheroics he took home Sh250,000 effectively joining Kenya’s exclusive club of millionaires as he is now Sh1.25 million richer.
