Starlets in potential Ethiopia, Algeria AFCON test

Harambee Starlets could face either Ethiopia or Algeria in the second round of the Women’s
Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The change has been effected by the withdrawal of Togo meaning Algeria will now face Ethiopia in
the first round of the qualifiers slated for Sunday, March 6 with the return leg a fortnight later.

The Starlets will play DR Congo in the first round qualifiers on the same date.

Cameroon will host the finals from November 19 and December 3 in the capital Yaounde and Limbe.

Starlets were knocked out of the running for the 2016 Olympics games by continental giants, South Africa’s Banyana Banyana after eliminating Botswana.
