The Kenya Women’s team, Harambee Starlets returned to camp on Thursday to continue with preparations for the upcoming second round 2016 Africa Women’s Nations Cup match against Algeria.

As confirmed by Confederation of African Football the first leg will be played on April 8 in Algeria and the return game in Nairobi five days later in Nairobi with the team expected to jet out next Wednesday.

Algeria booked Kenya in the second round after a 2-1 aggregate win over Ethiopia in the first leg.

The Starlets had initially reported to camp on February 24 to prepare for a first leg game with DR Congo on March 5.

The team was however released from camp on March 3 after CAF confirmed to the Football Kenya Federation that DR Congo had pulled out from the qualifiers giving Kenya passage to the second round.

The second round being the last round of qualifiers, the aggregate winner from the Kenya – Algeria game, as well as six other qualified teams will join host Cameroon in the tournament proper to be held from November 19 to December 3.
