Stars edge New Zealand in Cup opener
The national team Harambee Stars began their Intercontinental Cup campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 comeback win over New Zealand in Delhi, India.
Sarpreet Singh had put New Zealand ahead in the 42nd minute but that lead last only six minutes as Clifton Miheso drew the Stars level in added time of the first half.
Ovella Ochieng then came up the winner in the 69th to ensure Stars bagged all the three points.
The result left Kenya second on the four-team tournament, behind India only on goal difference after the hosts pummelled Chinese Taipei 5-0 in their opener.
