Stars up two places in vastly static FIFA rank

The national team Harambee Stars made a marginal gain in the latest World FIFA Rankings, climbing two places to 111th despite an April of inactivity.

Only Benin and Botswana – who leaped six places each – made a better upward shift than Kenya during the month that had few international matches resulting in the little movement.

Most of the top 50 is unchanged, with Germany, Brazil and Belgium respectively sitting at the summit of the same top ten as last month.

The first 47 positions remain totally unchanged from April’s ranking, but outside the top 50, a couple of nations have made notable advances.

The Harambee Stars are yet to break into the top 100 places in 2018 with position 105 – which they occupied in the months of January and March still their best ever rank for the year.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 7 June 2018.
