Steffi Ngabire poured 20 points to lead Storms’ 67-58 rout of Eagle Wings in Saturday’s Kenya Ladies Basketball Federation match at the Nyayo Gymnasium.

Atieno scored five points to carry Storms into 12-9 win in the opening quarter but Wings hit back 17-13 in the second powered by Lucy Muchuma’s eight-point performance.

Abel Nson’s charges then won 20-12 in the third before closing out the tie with a 22-20 victory.

Nson was enthralled by the game his charges displayed citing that it was an
awesome game but vowed to minimize their errors.

“It was a challenging game, but all in all we emerged to get a big win. We
are now aiming at reaching the finals and perhaps winning the league,”
Nson said.

In another match, UON Dynamites crushed Western Delight 74-41 with Val Kemunto putting away a game-high 18 points.

The Dynamites were completely dominant, taking each quarter with Western Delight overpowered by the quality of their opponents.

The Varsity side concluded the game on a high note with spirited fight from
Noel Kuloba and Trizah Akeyo tipping Dynamites to 21-12 win in the fourth
quarter.
