Storms eye redemption against KPA

Storms coach Abel Nson is confident his side will give a good account of themselves when they face former Kenya Basketball Federation champions KPA on Saturday at the Nyayo Gymnasium in Nairobi.

KPA knocked Storms out of last year’s playoff semi-finals in a series sweep and while Nson’s charges have lost four of their opening eight matches, the tactician is hoping they can get a positive result.

“We have put a lot of work this week during training, and main objective is to play very well and execute as a team having in mind KPA is a big team in the women basketball team,” Nson said.

After playing Storms on Saturday, KPA will have another fixture on Sunday when they tackle Eagle Wings at the same venue from 1:00 pm.

Meanwhile defending champions Equity Bank head coach David Maina is confident his side will show a good game when they face Strathmore  on Sunday at 2:30pm at Nyayo Gymnasium.

The two sides will be trying to continue with their unbeaten record with the ‘bankers’ playing their eighth game of the season.

“Preparations are going on well. My players have to be much focused so that we can win convincingly,” Maina added.
