Streaking Gor go 15 clear in CECAFA warm-up

Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia FC warmed up for the 2018 CECAFA Kagame Cup with a 1-0 win over Sony Sugar at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Jacques Tuyisenge was on target for the fourth successive match, hitting the winner in the 52nd minute as Gor opened up a yawning 15-point lead at the summit of the KPL.

Defeat for left them languishing in 17th place, level on 18 points with bottom table side Wazito FC who have an inferior goal difference.

Dylan Kerr’s charges will carry their winning momentum to Dar es Salaam where 12 CECAFA clubs will vie for a KSh3 million prize money as well as the regional honours at the Tanzanian commercial capital.
