Strong field confirmed for Konza Golf Day

A strong field of 132 golfers are set to take the par 72 Machakos Golf Club course for the fourth annual Konza Golf Day, on Saturday 14th November 2020.

The field led by last year’s overall winner and lady’s winner Ben Mumo and Jane Kiiti respectively, will tee off at 6:32AM, with the last putt projected to be at around 5:00PM.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) CEO Eng. John Tanui expressed delight in being able to host the tournament this year.

“It gives us great pleasure to host the tournament this year, given the challenges we have faced with the Covid-19 pandemic. I want to thank the management of Machakos Golf club for hosting us in strict adherence to the set health protocols. We look forward to a great day of golf,” he said.

The Konza golf day will be preceded by a golf clinic today at the same venue, featuring junior golfers who will be taken through lessons on how to improve their game.
