SWILA: Read whats on my Kigali notebook

Adventure

The rolling hills of Kigali adds flavour to its beauty moreso at dusk when the sun rays go down paving way for the city’s light to glaze the city.

From the north to the south, the lights make an intriguing pattern that radiates beautifully propelled by the ruggedness of the landscape.

And as if that is not enough, the city is clean and secure making it ideal for a leisurely evening walk.

Diet

For a Kenyan who is adept to eating rice, ugali, beef stew and chicken, Kigali is very much a home as one would expect.

However, the only difference is that ugali, which is known as ‘Kaunga’ comes in a gourd like shape and it’s a little bit salty.

Served with goat meat it becomes a delicacy that is quite irresistible!

That is not all, what has impressed me the most is the quality of Rwanda tea. Rich in milk, the Rwandan tea has a sweat aroma that leaves the mouth yearning for more.

Beauty with brains

One thing that you will definitely notice in Kigali is the striking beauty of their women; and they come in various shapes and sizes.

But that is not all. The beauty is that the Rwandese women have the calm demeanour, are polite, soft spoken and above all just have the right tricks in the bag.

To put the cherry on the cake is that the few I’ve engaged so far have brains to boot as they are knowledgeable on a number of pressing world issues.
