Team News: Oliech benched as Oktay names squad for Petro clash
Dennis ‘The Menace’ Oliech is poised to start from the bench as Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay named his 18-man squad to battle Petro Atletico of Angola in a decisive CAF Confederations Cup final Group ‘D’ match penciled to kick off at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani from 7pm Sunday.
The attack line will be led by Rwandan hit-man Jacques Tuyisenge, partnered upfront by fast rising Nicholas Kipkirui.
Peter Odhiambo will man the goalposts, covered by Philemon Otieno, Shafik Batambuze, skipper Haron Shakava and Charles Momnayi in the back-four.
Ernest Wendo, Boniface Omondi, Lawrence Juma and Francis Kahata have also been given the nod.
With the group wide open, Gor must beat the Angolans to cruise to the quarter finals where sh38 million awaits the teams that sail through. Zamalek, on 8 points, top the group and will tackle Hussein Dey(7 points) in the other group match from 7 pm as well.
Gor sit bottom on six points but will jump to nine with victory over the visitors who are on seven.
