Telkom, the reigning women Premier League champions thumped Rovers 3-1 in the women finals to bag the honours in the two-day event held at the weekend in Mombasa.

At the same time Parklands edged Mvita Marines 4-3 to bag the honours in the men category.

En route to the final, Telkom thrashed St John’s Kaloleni 8-0 as Rovers beat hosts Mombasa Sports Club 4-0.

The two-day event kicked off Saturday at Mombasa Sports Club and with the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) League still on break, the teams used the event to sharpen their skills.

Telkom top the women league with eight points after four matches with the next assignment being a date with second-placed USIU this Saturday.
