Telkom switch off USIU students in Africa Cup Championship
Kenyan hockey heavyweights Telkom gave their quest for a tenth continental title a massive boost after recording their second consecutive victory beating compatriots United States International University (USIU) 4-0 at the Abuja National Stadium, Nigeria on Sunday .
Telkom who beat Ghana Police 2-1 in their opening match of the ongoing Africa Cup for Club Championship should have won by a bigger margin had they converted the many short corner chances that came their way.
Meanwhile, USIU who are making a maiden appearance in the championships have registered mixed results having shared the spoils with hosts Delta Queens 1-1 in their opening match.
Telkom will today take on Delta Queens as USIU face defending champions Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA)
On Wednesday the Jos Openda coached Telkom will tackle Kada Queens of Nigeria as USIU face Ghana Police.
The annual championship is played on a round-robin format where the top two teams in each category will face off in the finals slated for Saturday.
Monday fixtures
Delta Queens vs Telkom 11am
GRA vs USIU 12.45pm
