Tergat, Ndereba and Muthee land plum govt jobs

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed NOC-K supremo, the legendary Paul Tergat as the chairperson of the Kenya Academy of Sports Council on a three-year mandate.

In a Gazette Notice No. 1260 dated February 8, 2019, the President bestowed Tergat with the task of ensuring that the Sports Council, which has been in limbo since its inception, gets its wheels rolling. The appointment takes effect from March 18, 2019

In this new found role, Tergat will work hand-in-hand with Joan Gituma and Agnes Oluoch who have been appointed as members of the Council.

Former Rugby Union boss Mwangi Muthee has also been called to serve  as a member of the Sports Kenya Board. He is joined by Eng. Alfred Baariu and Benson Mwangi, while sports enthusiast and academician Prof Moni Wekesa, Katherine Maundu,  Kenneth Thimba, Douglas  Wakiihuri and Dr. Angela Koech, will serve as members of the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya on a three-year mandate . Their appointments took event from February 7, 2019
