Time ripe for Leopards to win title, says captain Kamura

AFC Leopards captain Robinson Kamura has said that time is ripe for the team to lift the league title this season after years of fruitless effort.

“I would this team to be a unifying factor in Kenya and also due to our youthful age blended with experience I can say that with the appetite we have, this is the best time to return the club back to the glory days where our legends used to win trophy.

“We must also leave behind a legacy to be aped by those who are coming to succeed us when we are gone and that will count on merit of honors we have acquired.

Leopards have registered six wins in eight FKF Premier League matches so far this season and are playing with the mold of a true title contender.

Since being handed the captaincy armband in 2018, Kamura has never lifted the league trophy something he hopes that it is the best time that history should be re-written.

Ingwe sit fourth on 18 points, five adrift leaders Tusker FC although the former has one game in hand ahead of this Sunday’s Mashemeji derby against hosts Gor Mahia at MISC Kasarani.

Ingwe have flattered to deceive in recent years but have a chance to make a huge statement of intent when they take on champions Gor Mahia FC during Sunday’s Mashemeji Derby.

Leopards have not beaten Gor in five years.
