Top Fry Nakuru head coach Mitch Ocholla is targeting to win the Enterprise Cup but expects a tough encounter against Kenya Cup holders KCB in the quarter finals slated for April 13.

The Nakuru based side outshone Western Bulls 71-7 in the pre- quarter finals at the weekend and the former Shujaa tactician believes his side can match KCB in terms of confidence.

“KCB is the team to beat at the moment having beaten Kabras Sugar two weeks ago in the Kenya cup, but Nakuru is a equally growing in terms of confidence and when you get to a knockout game anything can happen and we’re hoping for the best when we meet KCB.”

KCB lost last year in the semi finals to eventual  champions Homeboyz ending their three years dominance in the Cup but Ocholla believes that the bigger the assignment the merrier the challenge.

“The bankers have been dominating for the last four years but Nakuru is rebuilding and we believe in our philosophy in regards to getting back to winning championships.”

“Our boys are working smart and hard and I think they’re angry for success so to me it will be a good match to watch and I know the best team will win,” he added.

For the next two weeks, Ocholla will shift focus to Kenya Cup where they face Impala Saracens away this weekend and host Kabras Sugar at the Nakuru Athletic club a week after.

“Sport has no script to be honest, we have seen upsets and champions being defeated, but when you don’t believe in something don’t bother doing it so we’ll believe in our chances and 80 minutes we’ll have it.”

The ‘Wanyores’ last won the gong in 2014.
