Tusker FC kicked out of Super Cup by Yanga

Tanzanian champions Yanga SC knocked out their Kenyan counterparts Tusker FC 4-2 on post-match penalties following a 0-0 draw to advance to the semi finals of the inaugural Super Cup tournament, at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar esSalaam on Monday.

Yanga’s shot-stopper Deogratias Munishi denied Clifford Alwanga from the spot before another substitute Stephen Owusu hit  the cross bar, to send the 11-time Kenyan national champions packing.

Captain Nadir Ali, Obrey Chirwa, Edward Mwakalukwa and Said Mussa coverted their spot kicks for Yanga with only Noah Wafula and Michael Khamati on target for the beaten Brewers.

Earlier on, AFC Leopards edged another Tanzanian side Singida FC to book a semi final spot, on post match penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
