Tusker heap more misery on Mount Kenya United

Mike Madoya scored in stoppage time to complete his brace and seal Tusker FC’s 4-1 rout of Kenyan Premier League (KPL) bottom table side Mount Kenya United on Thursday.

Amani Kyatta gave Mount Kenya a 1-0 lead from a penalty in the 12th minute but the visitors recovered to blow them away with an inspired second half display after Timothy Otieno had drawn them level at the half-hour mark.

Madoya put Tusker ahead in the 69th minute with a cool finish after receiving Jackson Macharia’s pass before David Majak made it 3-1 four minutes later after rounding the goalkeeper.

There was still time for Madoya to grab his brace in the fifth minute of stoppage time as Tusker delivered Mount Kenya’s 21st league defeat in 29 outings this season.

At the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, David Odhiambo and Allan Wanga were on target to lift Kakamega Homeboyz to a 2-0 victory over Nzoia Sugar while Gearson Likono’s lone goal gave Posta Rangers 1-0 win over Ulinzi Stars in Nakuru.

Posta barely threatened until Likono diverted Brian Osumba’s cross into the back of the net to secure a vital win for his side who now sit five points above the relegation zone.

Elsewhere at the Green Stadium in Awendo hosts Sony Sugar defeated KCB FC 2-0 thanks to goals either half from Kennedy Agogo and Derrick Otanga.
