Ugandan striker Balinya set for Gor exit

The rebuilding exercise at Gor Mahia shows no sign of slowing down with Ugandan forward Juma Balinya set to quit the club barely a season after joining the outfit.

Citizen Digital understands that Balinya is among the crop of players set to be released by the club this week to create room for new arrivals.

Balinya is however understood to have already entered into talks with Ugandan giants KCCA FC.

The K’Ogalo camp has been rocked by high-profile departures including that of former vice-skipper Joash Onyango who has since joined Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC.

Boniface Omondi has also left the club to join Wazito FC, together with goalie Peter Odhiambo while David Mapigano has also parted ways with the record Kenyan Premier League champions.

Gor coach Steve Pollack is at the same time expected to welcome new arrivals, with the technical bench and the club bosses finalising on a list of transfer targets.
