Ulinzi FC laboured to earn a 1-0 draw with Tusker FC as they snapped their three-game winless streak at a rainswept Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

The result represented only their second win of the season as they climbed into seventh on the log while Tusker dropped into 12th.

Masita Masuta’s goal in the 69th minute was all the hosts needed to complete the smash and grab win to leave head coach Dunstan Nyaudo in ‘relief’ after a rough patch that had seen them lose two in their previous games.

Elsewhere at the Thika Sub-County Stadium, Mathare United fought back to earn a 1-1 draw with Thika United thanks to Cliff Nyakeya’s 74th-minute strike after Shami Kibwana had put the hosts in front in the 54th.
