Unholy Reunion as Guardiolas Bayern face Barcelona in Champions League Semis

The Spanish manager left Barcelona in 2013 before taking up a role as Bayern Munich manager a year later.

Guardiola will also be facing off with his former teammate Luis Enrique who is the current Barcelona Manager.

The two were teammates at Barcelona between 1996 and 2001 before Guardiola moved to Brescia.

Guardiola and Enrique also played together for Spain Under 21 and 23 teams before graduating to the senior team from 1992 to 2001.

Bayern, Barcelona faced-off in 2013 semis

Bayern Munich booked their place in the semi-final draw after overcoming a 3-1 first leg defeat to thrash Porto 6-1 at Camp Nou while Barcelona cruised past PSG in their quarter final tie on a 5-1 aggregate.

The Bayern-Barcelona clash is a repeat of the 2013 semi-final when the German side thrashed the Catalan club 7-0 on aggregate before going on to beat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley to win their fifth European Cup.

Barcelona has only won one of their matches in European competition.

The match is set to be played on Tuesday May 5th with the return led set for Tuesday, May 12th 2015.
