Ushuru open three-point lead as Wazito stumble
Ushuru FC tightened their grip on the National Super League (NSL) top spot when they defeated Administration Police 2-0 at Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo Grounds on Wednesday.
David Otieno and Michael Osundwa struck in the first as the Taxmen retained their lead on aday that saw Wazito FC lose ground in their top flight promotion bud, going down 2-1 to Bidco United in Thika.
Emmanuel Onyancha and Dinken Mwema were on target for Bidco, with Eugene Ambulwa’s equalizer turning out to be a mere consolation.
The shock defeat allowed FC Talanta to climb into second on the NSL standings on 19 points, three behind Ushuru and a point above Wazito.
Elsewhere at the Eldoret Showgrounds, Shabana FC were handed their third successive league defeat as Eldoret Youth clinched a 1-0 win to go sixth on the table.
Kibera Black Stars and Nairobi City Stars will wait longer for their first wins of the second tier league after losing 1-0 to Kisumu All Stars and drawing 1-1 with Kenya Police respectively.
