Van Gaal tells Manchester United to sign Real Madrid forward

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told Manchester United hierarchy to ensure the transfer of Christiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Old Trafford materialises.

According to BBC, Van Gaal said that he is out to get top players, including Ronaldo, to Manchester United saying as difficult as that may be, there in need to put in an effort.

Ronaldo left Manchester United in 2009 for £80 million after winning three Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup and two League Cups in six season sat United.

He has since won three FIFA World Player of the year in addition to breaking legend Raul’s goal record of 323 goals at Real Madrid.

The Portugal forward has won one La Liga title, Champions League and two Spanish Cup titles in his six years at Santiago Bernabéu.

Ronaldo was signed by Old Trafford in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon for £12.24 million. He made 292 appearances for the Red Devils scoring 118 goals.

Ronaldo was part of Real Madrid squad that was thrashed 4-0 by Barcelona on Saturday in one of the most disastrous outing this season.
