Vihiga United head coach Mike Mururi says Gor Mahia FC are ‘beatable’ as his side prepares to host the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Vihiga defeated Ulinzi Stars 2-0 in their league opener in December but have since gone 10 straight matches without a win to leave them sitting on the relegation danger zone, just two points safe.

On the other hand, Gor who had a sluggish start to their campaign are slowly rediscovering their form and come into the clash on the back of a 4-2 CAF Cup successive over Egyptian giants Zamalek.

Vihiga were 2-0 winners over Gor in their previous clash and will hope they can pull off another upset result on Wednesday.

“I have told my players to put more effort to look for the maximum three points having in mind we will be playing at home. Gor is just like any other team which can be beaten,” Mururi said.

Meanwhile, limping AFC Leopards who appointed new coach  Rwandanese Andrew Casa Mbungo after a sluggish performance by his predecessor  Serbian Marko Vasiljevic in the last few matches will be meeting Mt Kenya United at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos from 3pm.

Ingwe who are currently at position 15 on the table with 10 points after 10 matches will be trying to recollect themselves under new coach, after a 4-1 defeat to Bandari on Sunday. Mt Kenya on their side are trailing behind with six points after 11 matches will be looking for their second win of their season.

New super cup champions Kariobangi Sharks who are currently on eighth position with 15 points and who’s unbeaten record came to an end over the weekend in the hands of Sofapaka will be having another tough opponent as they face Ulinzi Stars who drew 1-1 with Chemelil over the weekend and are in the 11th position with 13 points.

Another mouth watering match will be at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani between second place Bandari who has 21 points and third place Tusker FC who have 18 points.
