Wamukota joins Morans camp

Kenyan basketball international Bush Wamukota arrived in the country on Wednesday early morning ahead of Afrobasket qualifiers last round.

The tallest player in the team who plays for Patriots of Rwanda is expected to join the rest of players at Nyayo Gymnasium where they are training.

Wamukota missed the first leg that was held in Kigali, Rwanda last year and is expected to add value to the team according to assistant head coach Sadat Gaya.

“With Bush, we expect more from his height, his physicality, experience, skill level. He moves well and helps a lot in both offensive and defensive and therefore his presence is a big boost to the team,” Gaya said.

Almost all local based players are in the camp with other foreign-based expected at the camp by next week.

The team has intensified the training now having two sessions in the morning and in the evening daily.

The Morans who have one foot into the Afrobasket Finals scheduled to take place in March this year in Kigali, Rwanda will be playing the last round of qualifiers from 21st February 2021 against Mozambique, Angola and Senegal in Cameroon from 19th to 21st February 2021.
