Wanyama, Mandela only changes in Mignes 11 finest for Ethiopia

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastain Migne has made only two changes in the first team that beat Ghana in last month’s African Cup of Nations qualifier, for their 4:00pm crash against hosts Ethiopia, in Bahir Dar.

Captain Victor Wanyama returns to marshal midfield taking Ismael Gonzalez’s number, as South Africa based Brian Mandela replaces suspended Gor Mahia defender Joash Onyango.

Tusker shot-stopper Patrick Matasi stands between the posts, covered by Mandela and Musa Mohammed at the centre as Aboud Omar and Philemon Otieno sequentially play as the left and right backs.

Sofapaka’s Dennis Odhiambo will partner Wanyama in the defensive midfield role, likning the attackers in Migne’s preferred 4-3-3.

Michael Olunga will lead the goal-hunt mission shadowed by Sweden Eric Johanna, with Ovella Ocheing and Francis Kahata supplying from the right and left flanks respectively.

Farouk Shikhalo, Eric Ouma, Gonzalez, David Ochieng, Johanna Omollo and Piston Mutamba will be on standby on the bench.

A win will thrust Kenya to the top of the Group F, with six points, further needing just a draw to seal their 2019 Cameroon Afcon place.
