Wanyore seeded top for Easter Great Rift 10s

Rugby fans are in for a treat during this Easter Holiday when the 27th edition of the Top Fry Great Rift 10s goes down in Nakuru on Saturday and Sunday.

Hosts and defending champions Top Fry Nakuru are the top tournament seeds in Pool A alongside Kenya Harlequin, Western Bulls and Eldoret while former champions KCB headline Pool B with Resolution Impala Saracens, Catholic Monks and the Egerton Wasps.

Pool C has Pan Africa Strathmore, Mwamba, Blak Blad and Masaku while Kabras Sugar Menengai Cream Homeboyz, USIU and Mean Machine complete Pool D.

Wanyore, as Nakuru are known, reclaimed the title for the first time since 1995 after beating the back to back and defending champions KCB 5-0 in the final last year.

For the first time since 1990, the tournament will be played away from its traditional Nakuru Athletics Club venue with the ASK Showground setting the stage for the action.

The division two tournament will feature 20 teams and kicks off on Friday at the ASK Showground with the knock outs being played at Nakuru Day on Saturday.

Organisers have included age grade competitions for boys and girls which will be played on Friday at Nakuru Day Secondary.
