Wazito FC roll out squad for 2018 season

Wazito FC have rolled out their squad for the new season ahead of their Kenyan Premier League (KPL) debut year.

Wazito, who finished second in the National Super League (NSL) to earn top flight promotion, have named 14 new faces to replace the equal number of players who left the club during the close season.

The team lost the services of Dennis Gicheru, Zachary Gathu, and Johnstone Omurwa to other teams, while Bob Mugalia, John Mabia, Paul Karuri, Cresten Mwanzo and Reuben Munyao were released.

Six other players, Kennedy Okanda, Wycliffe Wanjie, Sekou Dore, Dickson Ihaji, Milton Onyuna and David Otieno retired from competitive football.

Former AFC Leopards duo Elly Mukolwe (goalkeeper) and Haron Nyakha (midfielder), Marvin Onyango and Moses Otieno from Posta Rangers are among those that joined the club.

Under the tutelage of coach Frank Ouna Wazito will be hoping to maintain a trend that has seen all promoted clubs in the last three years avoid being relegated the same year.
