Wazito lurking to break Stimas unbeaten record as NSL enters round 17

Wazito FC head coach Mohammed D’Mchulla is confident of breaking the unbeaten record of rival National Super League (NSL) contenders Nairobi Stima, as the league enters round 17 with 10 matches on schedule.

The current table toppers Wazito visit third placed Nairobi Stima at Karuturi Grounds in Naivasha, with the former Modern Coast Rangers coach riding on the recent terrific form by his side to switch off Stima.

The two are the second tier league top scoring sides with Stima boasting of 28 goals, one more than Wazito with 16 matches played so far.

Moreover, Stima are yet to lose a single game this campaigned as compared to the hosts two losses, but Wazito head coach Mohammed D’Mchulla is adamant his side will carry the day.

“It is true they are undefeated, but it is up to us to be at the top of our game and to perform better. We have worked on the mistakes from the last game. We will have better results. I’m sure of that.”

Meanwhile second placed Ushuru FC will host mid-table Modern Coast Rangers at Camp Toyoyo in their bid to rise top of the table in case Wazito lose their early kickoff match.

Ken Kenyatta’s back-line is the meanest in the league and have only allowed in six goals in sixteen matches while scoring 25, posing a real test to both fire and cushion powers of Modern Coast Rangers.

Fourth in rank FC Talanta will unleash their ammunition on bottom quarter outfit Kibera Black Stars who have lost nine of the 16 matches they have taken part, garnering a sorry 11 points, six points above tailing Kangemi All Stars.

The latter will be seeking their second win of the season as they visit Nairobi City Stars at Kawangware’s Hope Centre.
