Well stick to our noble game as we seek a top-four finish: Odhiambo

Equity Bank men head coach Carey Odhiambo is eyeing a top four finish in the regular league after thrashing USIU 76-66 at the weekend at the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium in a league match.

The bankers dictated USIU in the all the quarters giving them no room to hide.

Equity scooped the first quarter by thumping USIU 17-14 and won the second by a whisker 21-20 before punishing USIU 20-15 and 21-17 in the third and fourth round subsequently.

And a buoyant Odhiambo was contented with the show from his boys stressing that his boys vowed will stick to their noble game that will always fascinate basketball enthusiasts to fill the court.

“Our main aim apart from winning is to give our fans the best game that will make the fill the court each and every time the bankers grace the court. I’m always happy when my boys give me the best,” Said

And with an improved performance, Odhaimbo is relishing the prospect of gracing the East and Central Zone for the very first time.

“Playing in East and central Africa requires us to finish either in the first or the second position and my boys have that determination and I believe it is a possible thing,”

His opposite number, USIU coach Cliff Omondi said: “My team did quite well and this game will be the yardstick of facing the next matches. We now have to work on our fitness levelS and we will be good.”

USIU face  Strathmore in their next match.
