Winless Nzoia hope to fry Bidco when they face off in weekend fixture

Nzoia Sugar FC interim coach Peter Mwaura says his team’s goal is to get maximum points from Bidco United when the two sides collide in their next assignment.

Nzoia were held to a barren draw by visiting Kariobangi Sharks at Sudi Stadium and Mwaura is bullish that his boys can fire on all cylinders in their next assignment against new babies Bidco.

“We are going to score goals, my boys are in good form, we are going to win that match, we came from a loss, a draw and next it has to be a win, we have to pocket the three points at any cost,” he said bullishly.

The Sudi based charges lost 2-0 their opening match of the 2020/2021 campaign against new kids on the block City Stars and Mwaura believes his boys will build on the weekend draw against the’ Slum Boys’ to win their match against Bidco.

Meanwhile, Bidco United held Western Stima to a barren draw in their opening assignment of the top flight league but were downed 0-2 yesterday against AFC Leopards and will be looking forward to redeeming themselves when they host millers Nzoia.

Stat attack: Nzoia’s last two opening matches produced under 2.5 goals. They’re yet to find the back of the net. Both teams have conceded two goals so far.

Players to watch: Gaetan Masha has scored in most of Nzoia matches and contributed to most of the sides goals, Bidco’s veteran striker Stephen Waruru will be aiming to score his first goal of the season, he won the Golden Boot in the 2012 season while with Ulinzi Stars. He has also had spells with Sofapaka and KCB.
