World Rugby approves Kenya vs Germany 15s Test

The Test clash between Kenya Simba XV and Germany has been approved by governing body World Rugby (WR).

This is according to a Tweet from WR boss, Brett Gosper who posted “World Rugby has approved the match Kenya v Germany – May 27, 2017, RFUEA Grounds, Ngong Road, Nairobi,” on Tuesday evening.

Kenya who are ranked 23rd in the global standings will welcome the European side two places below them in what will be head coach Jerome Paarwater’s first assignment of the season.

The Germany Test will precede the annual Elgon Cup two-legged showdown with neighbours Uganda on June 10 in Kampala and June 24 with the return fixture part of the Rugby Africa Gold Cup.

Kenya will then face Tunisia (July 8) and Senegal (July 15) in Nairobi before travelling to Zimbabwe (July 22) and Namibia (July 29) to complete their Gold Cup assignment as the country bids to reclaim the continental crown for the first time since 2013.

Paarwater’s men are scheduled to face Hong Kong in Nairobi on August 19 and 26 to round their Test assignments for the year.
