Zetech vow good show against KPA

The Zetech University basketball women’s head coach Maurice Obilo has promised a ‘good’ show when his side face Kenya Basketball Federation champions KPA on Sunday.

Zetech who were missing in action last weekend will come up against a KPA side enjoying a steady winning momentum after defeating Masaku Sparks 80-35 in the previous round.

“My team is a very young side and will be facing an experienced team. We’ll try to have a good game and hopefully we can take the win,” Obilo said.

The tactician added he has a full house from which to select his starting five with only one player absent for family reasons.

Obilo’s counterpart Anthony Ojukwu, whose side saw their unbeaten streak brought to an at the hands of Storms, said they have less pressure on them but insisted they had learned from their loss.

“I hope my team can finish in a good position so we can avoid meeting stronger teams in play-offs and ultimately defend our title,” Ojukwu said.

The KPA men’s side will meanwhile hope to continue their unbeaten run when they face Equity Hawks and Thunder over the weekend at the USIU Grounds in Nairobi.
