The future is now: 21-year-old dazzles after clinching political seat

Well, the future is now, and one young man, in his early 20s - 21 to be precise, took the challenge to seek leadership and emerged successful.

Abraham Osoi was announced the winner of the Matapato North Ward elections in Kajiado county on Friday.

"I'm grateful to God. It wasn't easy. It was my first trial and I made it through. I thank the people of Matapato North for trusting me to lead them," he said.

The election has brought many new faces, several women leaders and a number of politicians who have made a comeback.

Osoi urged the youth to take up leadership positions.

He said one of the matters he will deal with in his new position is the perennial water issues.
